Back in the Fall of 2010, Google tried to buy Groupon for $5.3 billion. Groupon said No thanks! Maybe it was a bad move by Groupon since the business model they run is innovative, BUT can be easily replicated. In fact, Livingsocial existed before Groupon. You also have Facebook Deals that debuted this year. And now you can add Google Offers. Check out the video above for more information on Google Offers. The gist is that it really is no different that all the other coupon sites. Which brings up the question, are we overloaded? How much time in a day can we spend browsing through offers and deals? Parking Meters, A Smidge Less Annoying

The city of Long Beach, California is introducing smart parking meters in select locations on Broadway Avenue and 3rd Street. The city of Long Beach is not the first city with these parking meters, but it made me think about how annoying it is to park in congested cities, especially with wicked parking meters. Some parking meters are beyond wicked for example the ones in Santa Monica, California. However, with this news there is hope for a better future. The new meters allow you to pay via a mobile phone application,  Parkmobile , available for Apple iOS, Android and Blackberry. You can also pay with a credit card or coins.... coins? We might as well wear togas and name our kids Lucius like ancient Romans. The phone application will also alert you through text or e-mail when you are going over your time limit. If you can purchase more time, you will be able to do it through your phone, without ever having to revisit the parking meter. And the parking meters are solar powered! It

Firefox 4, Released Today

We must count our blessings, first we get a brand new Microsoft Internet Explorer, IE9, and now Mozilla is releasing Firefox 4.0. What's new in Firefox 4.0? Well much like Internet Explorer 9, the tabs have been placed at the top. Also like Internet Explorer 9, the "File", "Edit", "View", etc... buttons have been replace by a single button. In Firefox 4 it is the "Firefox" button. And according to Mozilla, Firefox 4.0 is 3 to 6 times faster than its predecessor, Firefox 3.6. Please note that Google's Chrome already had the tabs at the top and minimal buttons. We now have a serious war among web browsers, this reminds me of the Nestcape vs. Internet Explorer days. We have not even talked about Apple's Safari or Opera. I would highly recommend Firefox 4, click here  for the update.
